Mubende, Uganda | By Michael Wandati | Ignitious Nyansiyo has tragically become another victim of homicide this year after he was fatally attacked in a married woman’s bedroom.
Nyansiyo, a resident of Ngowa village in Katente Parish, Kiyun Sub-county, Mubende District, was reportedly killed by Khalisiti Mutatina, the woman’s husband.
According to information provided to Mubende Police, Mutatina, who had been working in Kagadi District, would typically return home to his wife either biweekly or monthly.
On Saturday evening, Mutatina made an unexpected return around 9 p.m. and was stunned to discover his wife with another man in their marital bedroom.
“It was around 9 p.m. when the husband returned home and found his wife with another man. We suspect one of our neighbors may have tipped off Mutatina, prompting him to return without informing his wife. This affair had been ongoing for a while,” one of the locals reportedly told detectives.
Racheal Kawala, the Wamala Regional Police Spokesperson, confirmed that following the horrific incident, both the suspect and his wife fled the scene.

“We were informed about the incident and immediately responded to the crime scene. The body of the deceased was found lying in the suspect’s marital bed. His body has been taken to Mubende Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem,” Kawala stated.
Mubende Police have issued a warrant for Khalisiti Mutatina’s arrest and alerted law enforcement agencies in neighboring districts—Kassanda, Mityana, Kakumiro, Kibaale, and Kagadi—to apprehend him if spotted.
