Thousands gather for Bobi Wine's Kyarenga Concert

Thousands of revellers on Saturday 10th November, 2018 gathered at One Love Beach in Busaabala for Bobi Wine’s Kyarenga Concert.

A simple estimation of close to 45,000 people that filled Busabala One Love Beach to capacity, some came in early, and engaged in selling different commodities to people who attended the show.

Security was heavily deployed and every person was subjected to thorough body checks at the entrance.

Some of the revellers were seen donned in red clothes, berets and ribbons tied on their heads.

None of the revellers was allowed to enter water at the beach.

Different businesses were set up at the venue. The businesses ranged from restaurants drinks and roasted meat stalls.

“I came here as early as 5.00 am from Kamwokya. I want to make money and also have fun. I will be selling Bobi Wine’s calendars here,” said one of the youth.

Bobi Wine was accompanied by fellow artistes including; Eddy Kenzo, Eddy Yawe, Mikie Wine, Pallaso, Kabako, King Saha, Carol Nantongo, Spice Diana, Nina Roz, Renah Nalumansi, Lil Pazo, and among others who turned up in large numbers and gave the best of their performance.

The Kyarenga concert was first scheduled to take place on 20th of October in Namboole Stadium but was called off after the stadium officials said that the venue had been booked.
