Soroti, Uganda | URN | Zavier Eyemu, 29, a security guard working with SGA Security, is battling for his life at Mbale Regional Referral Hospital after a botched attempt to take his own life.
Mohamed Rashid Byanzi, the Soroti City West Division police commander says that Eyemu tried to commit suicide after shooting his lover, Lucy Abote at Opportunity Bank, Soroti branch around 5:30 am Wednesday 6, July 2022 morning.

It is alleged that after shooting Abote, Eyemu boarded a motorcycle and fled back to Soroti hotel, where he was on guard duties. He tried to end his life by shooting himself below the neck in vain. Abote was rushed to Soroti Regional Referral Hospital where she died on arrival.
Zavier Eyemua (a security guard working with SGA Security), was rushed to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital for better management due to the absence of a specialist at Soroti Regional Referral Hospital to attend to him.
