Nairobi, Kenya | By Michael Wandati | Kenyan multi-talented musician, karaoke host, songwriter and radio personality Sanaipei Tande, popularly known as Sana, has launched a brand new music single dubbed ‘AMINA.’
The song (Amina), written and performed by Sana, is her first release in 2017.
Sanaipei Tande who began her music and radio career back in 2004, at 19 years of age, makes a comeback with Amina — showcasing her impeccable, sensual and sultry vocal prowess. Singing ‘Amina’ in Swahili — having been born and raised within Swahili culture in Mombasa, Kenya — the sassy but shy singer displays a raw emotion in the song, a tribute for the ones we have lost.
Speaking about the song, Sana said, “Amina is basically a song dedicated to hope, forgiveness, friendship, grief and happiness — the realization of second chances — to make amends before its too late.”
According to the singer, Amina was inspired by the loss of her two close friends four years ago, a situation that has been experienced and can be related to by every individual.
“It is important that my fans understand my music since I use it to speak directly to them,” said Sanaipei
The audio is exceptionally well produced by Fredrick ‘Dillie’ Wang’ombe under his production label, House of Dillie.
This is the first of the many projects coming up in 2017 according to Sanaipei Tande.
