Lira, Uganda | URN | A Kenyan national who was arrested in Hoima for allegedly stealing a vehicle belonging to Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has been transferred to Lira Central police station.
Felix Agoro, 32, together with others still at large are alleged to have stolen a land cruiser vehicle registration number UBD 172P belonging to Uganda Bureau of Statistics from Lira town on Thursday last week.
The vehicle had been parked in Lira town by officials from UBOS before the suspected thugs reportedly drove it away.
Agoro was reportedly arrested in Hoima driving the suspected stolen vehicle near Kontiki Hotel along the Hoima-Kampala road on Friday morning last week.

Police immediately whisked him to Hoima central police station where he was being detained since then. Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson told this publication on Monday that Agoro was transferred to Lira Central Police Station on Sunday evening since it is where he committed the crime from.
According to Hakiza, the thugs had also changed the vehicle number plate from UAP 873P instead of UBD172P at the time police intercepted the vehicle.
