Kampala, Uganda | By Michael Wandati | The Ministry of Education and Sports has officially disclosed the release dates for the 2023 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) exam results.
As per an internal memo dated January 17, 2024, and signed by Irene Kauffman, a previous memo from January 12, 2024, had invited stakeholders to a briefing and result release event scheduled at State House Nakasero.
Ms. Kauffman, the senior private secretary to the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, conveyed that the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is set to conduct a briefing on the 2023 PLE exam results on Wednesday, January 24.

Subsequently, the official release of the results is slated for Thursday, January 25, both events taking place at State House Nakasero.
It’s noteworthy that UNEB typically releases PLE exam results before January 20. However, exceptions were made in 2019 when results were delayed until July due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and in 2022 when the release was postponed to January 27, reportedly due to the Minister’s busy schedule.
